SEM Genopole was created in July 2002, on the initiative of « Région Ile de France», « Conseil Général de l’Essonne » and « Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations », in order to develop a real estate offer meant to host public and private research laboratories and companies, on the Genopole campus in Evry-Corbeil.
This laboratory building and real estate management company is provided with a 19 million euros capital stock which guarantees a durability of action. It is managed by Thierry Mandon, Councilor of the Essonne department.
SEM Genopole has renovated and built 25 000 m² of premises, made of 150 m to 3 000 m² units. The company owns several available fields, in landholding, in order to set up new companies specialized in biotechnology.
SEM Genopole is in line with the principles of environment’s respect and landscaping quality. It was awarded, in 2008, by receiving the gold medal at the “Victoires du Paysage” in the companies’ category.
SEM Genopole developed a real estate offer by opening a Business Center, where people can buy offices from 10 to 20 m² and the related services, this enables to host the new companies’ creators and it acts as a logistical support to the companies that wish to establish themselves on the Genopole site.
This capital management is oriented towards the companies and laboratories’ needs.

SEM Genopole is a member of the SCET network, and as such, it benefits from a permanent support in its sector. This support can be found in the legal, financial and technical fields and it helps enhancing and developing the company’s operational means..

SEM Genopole manages the capital of company’s hosting centers of the “Bioparc Genopole Campus”, first French Bioparc with more than 80 000 m² of real estate surface.
